PocketMoney for iPhone
I've tested a good few finance apps and read up on even more to rule out those which don't offer as many features as pocket money does. Pocket Money is current my preferred choice of finance app.
As far as look and feel go, pocket money isn't the best looking app out there. It's very bland and "financial" feeling. It's also not the easiest to pick up and use either however it has plenty of online support and a very good care team should you need to email them. However, once you have set this up with the accounts you wish to track (assuming you want to track multiple accounts rather than just track expense vs income) the app really comes into it's own. You can select which accounts feed the choice of balance totals shows at the bottom of the screen. There are several choices of what balance to total type to show which work with filters as well as the usual current balance or future balance if you have entered future transactions or have repeating transactions for the month.
The app has a really detailed budgeting screen that is very clear to see where you are on track with your monthly budgets once you set them up. I found the first month I was using this I was constantly tweaking this screen as bills and expenses where paid for. There are a host of options in the app settings on how and what info to display for the budget screen. I have mine set to show unbudgeted expenses and incomes as well so it's clear to see where you and spending outside of the expected budget for the month.
One of the things I love the most about pocket money that I've not found else where is how it records account transfers in the budget screen. Previous apps I had used added an expense and an income to my budget screen. This threw out the total for the month if I was tracking my credit card balance and recorded a £100 payment from my account to my credit card. Pocket money tracks budget info based on the category rather than feeding in all positive and negative figures which means it will show the expense of the credit card repayment but not the income on the credit card account giving an accurate budget total for the month.
Another handy feature is the reconcile balance function. If you miss a cost or income on your personal account and really can't track it down then this is handy to correct the balance of the account to be true to your actual account.
Pocket Money, like pretty much all personal finance apps currently out there, does require you to manually enter all the data. Fortunately, it has the option to auto populate fields for you so if you regularly spend on the app store, start typing the category in then once it recognises it, hit the next button and it will auto fill the rest for you based on the last entry made. You may have to adjust the cost/income amount but it saves time.
Overall, Pocket Money is my favourite personal expense tracking app even if it is one of the more expensive ones out there. Due to the level of detail it goes to you could use this to track your business expenses too however I've not tested it for this use yet so wouldn't suggest using this as your only form of business expense tracking. Plus photo receipts is an in app purchase which is a bit stingy in my opinion considering most apps offer this for free. Even that considered, if you want a comprehensive finance tracking app then this is definitely the one I recommend.
