Tweetlogix for iPhone review

I've done a bit of research looking around for a better twitter client than the standard twitter app. Tweetlogix isn't one of the early apps that appears on an app store search. In fact I didn't see it within the first 3 pages of twitter search in the iPhone app store. It came to my attention when Derren Brown (yes the Derren Brown you see on channel 4 doing the amazing tricks of the mind amongst other shows and performances which I'm a big fan of) tweeted saying Tweetlogix is a much underrated twitter client.
I checked the Internet, read a couple of reviews, looked at a YouTube review then read up on some other twitter apps on the net and on appolicious (iPhone app) to see what the other top rated twitter apps offered and looked like.
From comparing feature lists, Tweetlogix offered all the main features and even a bit more in the way of pic uploading, URL shortening and tweet extension services. It also has the very useful muting services for users and hashtags if you like to follow someone but don't want them spamming out your wall. You can also filter where the muting takes effect i.e in the time line, search, mentions etc.
The layout of Tweetlogix is very well thought out too. It's worth checking out a demo of the app on YouTube to get a preview of it in action as they currently don't offer a free version. It's not a bank bank breaker at £1.19 but you might want some more insight before parting with your money.
Tweetlogix auto extends long tweet messages and displays pics in line on your time line. This last point is a nice feature as it allows you to see a preview of a pic before tapping the tweet to check or if you just want to see the pic or even a link in the tine line, tap on it and it opens up. If you do open up the tweet it self, you can scroll down to see a fullscreen image of the pic which is another nice feature.
Tweetlogix is so feature rich I'm not even going to attempt to cover all of it but if you are considering getting it read up on the app store.
Other than the extensive feature list, the look of the app is top notch too. It's the nicest I've seen from screen shots and looks even better in the actual app taking full advantage of the retina display.
As a final touch, Tweetlogix works with boxcar to give you push notifications how you want them. I used to think using boxcar was a bad thing but I've subsequently tried it and now find myself using it for more and more things. So boxcar integration is good.

Overall Tweetlogix is a really well designed, polished and created app that has taken over as my main twitter app. It would be nice to see a couple of additional features such a notification in the timeline to say there are muted tweets rather then have to go to your filters menu but it's generally a top notch app and worth the very reasonable price tag.
